Amazing to be stood next to it, and pretty mental. The guys taking part in the fire run all wear suitable protective clothing. The tourists watching don't, so there is plenty of singed skin and hair. Good photo opportunities though and what's a bit of pain for your art.

Thanks everyone. That was a nice surprise. Still recovering from the experience so have more images on the camera to go through yet. Will upload over the next week. This was from the kid friendly parade, the grown ups 'dangerous' version was the next night, which was truely mental. What the picture does not convey is the noise from the fireworks and the mass drumming bands.
