Thanks guys, I love it myself - Sheona is a professional model and it's kinda hard to take a bad picture of her. She's also 5'11" and a complete sweetheart :)
I LOVE this!!!
Superb shot Hugh! Very striking. Really love it & thanks for the info too :)
Stunning capture .... congrats on TOTD :)
Brilliant Hugh. Congrats on TOTD!
Very Very Smooth & Clever!!! Congrats on your TOTD!
Fantastic, another great image.
Glad somebody cleared up the T issue for me too. This is a superb picture and good to see it getting the totd,.Thanks for the info too, it always helps to understand an image better.
You're looking at Niamh G from Kerry, owner of the most fantastic features you could ever want to photograph. The pose is all hers, nowt to do with me :)
Ah thanks everybody, truly chuffed at the TOTD, although I'm still trying to figure out the 1st "T" bit :) I seem to have found a small niche in the market - I'm doing a lot of this fairly tightly framed beauty stuff (and getting paid for it which is a bouns). I "discovered" studio lights about 18 months ago and have been practising a lot. I try to keep it simple, at most two lights and a reflector. What I was trying to do above is fairly standard beauty lighting (butterfly lighting) which is a lamp directly above pointing downwards at about 45 degrees, and a reflector under her chin. This gives the so called butterfly shadow under the nose. Great for the complexion. I think this was shot on about an 85mm (crop frame, so I'm not right on top of the model) prob at about f/11. Thanks again. H

Thats a strong image! well done!
stunning ! congrats on TOTD :)
Love the expressiveness and positioning of her arms/hands and composition. Reminds me of an Elizabeth Taylor type in the glamour years of the early 60's. V.
