I am in shock,i just got the privilage to meet him opn saturday.He didnt stay easy as he was enjoying himself taking pics.Everytime i bumped into him he was charging around looking for the next shot.My lasting memory of him will be his passion for something we all love doing.Just cant believe it.RIP danny

FFS, I met Danny on Sunday for the first time, what a gent. I can't believe this.

I'm totally shocked Susie, and even though I only met him on Sunday for the first time, I'm deeply saddened by this.
I've been commenting on his amazing shots since I joined Pix.ie and my favourite photograph on this entire site is his "Gannets fighting" shot, I absolutely love it.
Danny was always very generous with his comments on my shots and it was a real honour to meet him in person on Sunday.
As I said to you and Dennis, I'm planning a trip to Trim again soon because I was so inspired by the beauty of the place and I was really looking forward to chatting with Danny again.
I can't believe thats not going to happen now.
I can't believe he won't be around the corner from me anymore! He just lives less than a minute away from me!
Likewise -we met for the first time on Saturday. A friendly guy with a big smile. May you rest in peace.

I have only realised in the last few minutes the extremely sad news regarding Danny... I'm stunned. I never met him, but like so many PIX.ie friends, he has been part of my life since I joined Pix.

I didn't know Danny - other than through his photographs. If they provide a glipse into his soul, then it must be beautiful and the world at a loss for his passing. My condolences to his partner and family. A person with such an affinity for the beauty in the things around us will be solely missed. RIP Danny.

Oh dear.... what terrible news... I have not had the priveledge of meeting Dannie, but I have learnt a little about him from the way he saw and captured our world and how he supported all of us in our view. So sad, my condolensence to his family his friends and everyone who valued his photography.
