Just home from hols and I find the tree in front garden attacked hordes of caterpillars

Thansk manresa. Not too sure about it being great - there are hundreds of the damn things on the tree - all about 6-7mm long. I took off all the badly infested leaves and will leave the rest to the gathering ladybirds and Robins;-)

Purple patch Mr S. Another great capture. The shape of the leaves and caterpillars remind me of something else. I can't quite remember but I will. Well done on the TOTD.Great stuff.

Thanks James. What is even more unusual was that I posted both TOTD's one after the other, on the same day! The brown envelopes are working! After the holiday and the SPWC I have about 1500 shots to go through. These were among the first batch I managed to do - I reckon it will take a few weeks to get them all sorted!
