About: My name is fran,i am from bray in co.wicklow.Have always been into photography but only took it up seriously a few years ago.I am mostly self tought but picked up some tips from a critique site i am on.I am also a member of offshoot photograhic society.
I recently was awarded my distinction in 2009 at the IPF panel judging in tipperary.I also had a colour print in the colour panel which won the gold medal for our camera club..we went on to win the overall shield.I get all my shots printed locally but do the mounting and framing myself which is enjoyable and very satisfying.My passion is the countryside looking for my next landscape or stalking wildlife:).
I hope you enjoy photography as much as i do and remember when you are in the countryside 'Take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints'
