To be honest I just grabbed this shot. Was on the beach and not a lot happening and I saw the couple and just took a quick couple of shots. I've loaded a high resolution image if you want to take a print.
Seen on boards.ie - I love this shot. I wish I was the couple in the picture, I'd ask you for a print! It's a lovely scene, well captured - looks a difficult exposure?

U2's Day At The Races gig at the Phoenix Park Racecourse on 14 August 1983. The lineup was Perfect Crime, Steel Pulse, Big Country, Eurythmics, Simple Minds and U2.

According to the advert (reproduced on Come Here To Me blog) for the 2 Irish gigs (the other being Ulster Hall Belfast), the support band was called 'The Snips'. Could be Snips AKA Steve Parsons who had an LP out in 1978. I have a single somewhere, pretty good powerpop, nothing special.

I found the negatives for these photos and the date on the envelope is 1980. This leads me to believe that these photos were taken at the Cabra gig even though I always thought they were taken at the State Cinema gig.
I also notice Dee Dee's t-shirt is for the ramones movie which didnt come out until 1980.
I know its a long time ago but you were at the gig and maybe you could tell or do you know anyone who would know?
