He always was a miserable fello that Richie :D
Can't figure out what the light is illuminating but like the hanging curtain shadow effect it's casting.
Super shot
Wasn't really aiming for anything to be honest. First time photographing people indoors. Was just photographing anything and everything and praying that some would look OK.
You should copy/paste it into a program and stick it in black and white yourself, man. It really doesn't look that great.
If his skin was darker and the background brighter, then I'd probably go with B+W, but i don't think it's contrasty enough for a B+W myeslf. If you bump the contrast up too much you end up hiding the tears (which are what really make the image, in my opinion), so I don't think I'd be mad about it.
All down to personal preference of course, but as I say on Boards, I'm not that big a fan of B+W photos in general. That said, I liked your hand photo from before. I believe that was in B+W if memory serves me correctly?
This is just screaming for a B+W !!! Do it do do it do it !!!
Thats the new place, sounds like a good set up. Great pictures btw, are you aiming for a documentry collection ?
Yeah. Place called Barbican Hall, at the rear of the Laurence Centre (near the Taxi rank).
it was just rented out for the weekend by a religious group who had a few "Christian Conferences" in it. Looks like the place is made for plays and stuff (has seating, stage, and pull-out tiered seating at the back).
Where is this ? Drogheda ?
Well caught!
Wow fab
