Memories, memories, memories. Had one of these back in the seventies. An outright banger but had great fun in it.
I met the owner of this tractor in Moynalty last year and he has an encylopaedic knowledge of every Car, Tractor and Motorbike built before 1980. He is from somewhere in Cavan and a nicer and more talkative guy you could'nt meet. He had all the paperwork with him proving that this is a Demonstrator and all the serial numbers seemed to verify it's authenticity. I think this is just 1 of a very rare collection of vintage vehicles that this guy has and rarely brings out.
No problem, yep love the rallying but it's a bit of a pain to shoot unless you have the right equipment. Need a real good fast lens to get the right shots and I just can't afford one at the moment.
Keep an eye on http://rally.ie That'll show you where and when rallies are taking place.
Love your shots btw, the piece your doing on the swans is fantastic !!
Thanks for the add, I see your into Rallying, not seen many shots with a flash used b4.
Not had a chance to ever shoot a rally yet, wouldn't mind sometime but I live in Dublin and we get nothing round here.
I just got lazy that day and didn't take many !!
Ah golden rule number one
Quality over quantity.
Haha, you had a hell of a lot to cover in the day, plus you got over 50 times the amount of shots I got !! Just looking at these shots makes me wonder where that summer weather went...
Yeah she's a realy beauty, pity they had the barriers up around it, would love to have got a closer look.
No problem Patrick, it's a great site, plus it's 100% Irish !!
See now i should have slowed down a bit on the day and i would have got good shots like his.
I would say that this baby is hot to trot. great photos Cian keep up the good work and thanks for showing me this site. more room online to share photos. great. i will use what space i have on the other site first but i will also use this site for some of my nicer photos.
You know I never noticed the demo badge on it till you mentioned it now !! I supposse there wouldn't be any way of telling unless you could trace the history of it. Must ask some tractor heads !!
If this is a real demonstrator, then its very very very rare. The factory only painted the tractors red when the customer got his hands on it. Found out when i was researching the article on the two Farmall Cubs in Sligo.
