That is a very good photo, did you see the same in your viewfinder or take a chance?
In the view finder. I use a few different optics for certain shoots so know this one fairly well. Keeps me occupied like a crossword. It's easy enough with an SLR.
WOW this is a great shot.
Very good shot. Well done.
This is a wonderful shot!I just want to know how did you come up with clear picture using magnifying glass.I bought a magnifying glass myself and tried what you have done as shown in this picture yet it did not come out the way I expected it to be like you had here.
Thanks very much Billy. Well there are acouple of things really. Have a good glass. This is an old jewlller's brass one and the glass has been kept perfact. There are other pictures (even in this album) where you can see the stand etc. more clearly. I only use non-automatic film cameras, wether this makes a difference I'm unsure but I don't know digital cameras but a friend has a godd canon DSLR and reckons that he has problems replicating what I do. So maybe there's something in that.
Then it really is about getting to know the magnifying glass, as in what distances the subject needs to be and what distance the camera needs to be. so the is shunting and moving going on.
A zoom lens will only get you so far. It does make it easy but you, the camera and the subject have to be in a workable position otherwise the zoom is useless.
So it's good glass, steady holder, half decent film slr and willing to put in a bit of elbow grease and thought.
Good luck and let me know how you get on.
That's wonderful
Brilliant shot
Thanks oonat...janey, I'd forgotten all about that picture.
