Thanks Roisin, pleased with this one too.

Who'd a thought Drogheda was so photogenic?  ;-)

Thanks, am surprised this turned out so well - due to the one drawback of the GF1 in having to view on the LCD only. But the metering in GF1 is pretty good.

The very grand church architecture helps too  ;-)

Cheers.

Looks like a photo for an ad with all that space crying out for copy  ;-)

Thanks folks, would have liked some photos inside that booth, but they have it locked.

Good to see you all again too Fran - had a ridiculous amount of fun on the day.

They are the most satisfying ones.

Thanks Martin, flattering  ;-)

This one nearly deleted though, but I thought I saw something in the geometry of the lines that I liked, then I saw the potential for the yellow theme. Pleased how it turned out - for a salvage job!

Like this one, especially the way the zig zag pulls you in. Belfast's Golden Mile. Super example of technique seen in similar classic shots featuring London's Red phone and post boxes and New York's Yellow cabs.

I might order an Irish coffee, with the hot water, sugar, cream and coffee on the side.

I think it's the real thing. Guy at the bar was telling me they had all the seals changed from old cork to silicone, so they could use them. They tell me you can buy an Irish coffee here & that's what the whisky is for, not allowed to sell it though.

May put that to the test next time I'm in  ;-)

I would love to know if that is really whisk(e)y in those - that place has no license to sell alcohol, so it's probably old tea or something, but I still want to try :-)

Cheers Dennis, thanks for the compliments.

Had a great day myself shooting too, but what really made it was seeing how much fun the whole group had. What a weekend that was.

Thanks, was a bit of work in Aperture for this one. Amazing what 's possible from  RAW file!   ;-)

Impressed. Was a tricky one to photograph, lighting wise. Very dark corners contrasting with bright highlights.
