Hi there,

I came across this pic in searching for an image for the front cover of an academic book I'm the editor of and which is going to press next week. Wondered if you would be interested in allowing it to be the cover?! Love the image!

Not yet sadly, need to get my hoop into Gunnes for a few rolls of 120 plus a drum and developer, haven't worked with film in a few years so looking forward to it.

I had visions of you lying down in the snow... glad you're not that crazy!

Thanks again, I felt sorry for the poor little critters all frozen and wanting the sun. Major luck there too, couldn't see what I was shooting with the cam down on the brolly, there was no way I was lying down on the snow only to walk about looking like I had an 'accident', heaven forfend &c.

Thanks a mil, I have to confess I desaturated everything but yellow and red in the gimp!

Yeah they're everywhere!
And thanks, the crop seemed better than the original comp, trying to get the hang of the rule of thirds instead of just centering, plus the golden ratio on the aspect is a new toy. There aren't enough hours in the day!

Really like this one... the contrast between spring in the foreground and the dismal winter atmosphere in the background is wonderful :o)

You would think it was a b&w except for the spot of green grass peeping out... another beauty!

It sure did Adele, not that my pics will do it justice and you've seen the camera so hands up I'm the weak link in the chain :-(

I'll have to go through the menus to find the bracketing option, would have been just the job this morning since I lugged the pod. The +1 stop was right on the money looking at the results, without overexposing all the trees are black and the snow is grey - California Dreamin!

I'll have to have a look at your flickr stream now, thanks for checking in!

Guilty as charged, resized and cropped the images in gimp including the stolen bit on the lower right from a pic of a lens, then imported them to inkscape and added the rest. Gimp and inkscape are both free programs a google away if you're interested, but then going by your avatar it looks like you have your graphics programs well sorted!

Cheers J, much appreciated. It was a lucky one, I was trying to pan after a gull with the tele when the shot above just jumped out of the viewfinder.
