How do I signup?
Signing up to Pixie couldn't be easier! At the top righthand side of this page (all
the way at the top!) there is a link that says sign up. Click this link, and then
fill out our simple form, and your a member! All the questions on the form are compulsory
to become a member of Pixie, as we want to make sure that we have real people as
members!
What do I get with my account?
By signing up and becoming a member, we give you the ability to upload photos to
your account. Members can also invite friends and connect with other members on
the site. Once your photos are uploaded, you can then specify who can see them!
Only members can leave comments and vote for good photos.
How do I upload photos?
Uploading is easy and we currently support two methods:
Direct Upload:
- Ensure you are logged in and click on the upload button.
- Select photos you wish to upload. (Hint: If you have Flash 8 or above installed you can
select multiple photos at once).
- Tell us where to put your photos by creating a new album or by choosing an existing one.
- Tell us who can see your photos and what they can do with them by setting privacy and permissions.
- Add your tags.
- Click upload!
Email Upload:
- From your account "Settings" menu, choose "Email Settings" to find out what your upload email address is.
This secret email address is private to you and should not be disclosed to other people.
- Simply email photos as attachments to this address and they will automatically be uploaded to your account.
Are my photos safe?
Yes, keeping your photos safe is our priority. We consider that Pixie should be
your photo's safe haven and at our datacenter, we use the latest technology in order
to ensure that we live up to our promise!
Are my photos private?
That's completely up to you! You specify who can see what... You can choose to make
your photos "public" (everyone can see them), "private" (only you can see them),
or "protected" (some people can see them)... We recognise that for every photo album,
there are going to be some photos that are simply not suitable for "mum and dad",
some that that are not suitable for "the office" and maybe even some that are simply
private! Because of this we allow you to set individual privacy for each photo!
i.e. When your work colleagues see your album they will only see the ones which
they have permission to see!
Can I make a suggestion?
Sure you can, in fact we welcome all your comments! To send us a suggestion simply
select the feedback
link at the very bottom of the screen.
How do I report abuse?
This is a way of letting us know if you feel another Pixie community member is in
violation of the Terms of Use
or our Community Guidelines
. It is not an outlet for people to let us know if they do or do not like a certain
image.
