This fantastic looking character sells the Evening Standard at Chancery Lane, London, every day. He kindly let me take his picture. Visit http://www.henrystuart.com for more of my work. Went back and found out his name, John Sale.

Nice dark and deep tones. I think since the newspaper business is such a strong part of his life, I'd darken or unbrighten the slight glare of the newspaper to blend in with the drama and  more deeper tones of the rest of the pic. The magnification of his eyes through those heavy glasses is terrific.  Since he's not exactly making eye contact with the viewer, I'd snip off just a tad from the top of pic to bring the viewer's eye a bit closer to him.     Interesting note:  The way his thumb is positioned over the emblem of his shirt looks like he has a nail through his thumb. Cool! Voted.

Thanks TownieLee I agree with the brightness of the paper, may darken it a little, perhaps it distracts a little too much from the chap himself.

Dropped off a framed copy for him yesterday! He was thrilled, really a little overwhelmed which was touching. He told me that he'd just had his apperance mentioned by his superiours - think they want him to smarten up, seems a shame to me. He makes more sales than the other vendors in his area because he's a character - let him be.
