I'd agree. I'm using the sigma 10-20 on a crop (7d) and its on the business end of my camera more than any other lens I possess.

Its not really when your using a crop sensor :)  I do some old buildings and one of the guys (pullandbang) uses the 16mm on his 5D and i love the effect it gives to his shots.

Taking normal street stuff the wide angle shows the world in a very different way, particularly at the 10 end.  Probably because I use it so infrequently I get surprises everytime I use it.  For example Christchurch doesn't really look like this, but the wide angle exaggerates proportions.  I love the lens, but it has its limitations, as I suppose they all do in some way or another:)

Novelty in what way?

I'd disagree. Maybe crop to lose the arch of the door at the bottom, but too tight a crop will unbalance the windows.

I had a Canon 10-22 on.  Great for this kind of stuff, but a bit of a novelty act.

Nice album Jonny. Didn't get to talk to you last night. Maybe at the next one. You should tag your pictures - you'll be glad you did later when you're trying to find something.

Nice exposure and a magnificent structure. However, if you crop off a bit of the bottom, right above those little squares, then those three wonderful windows on top really come into prominence.   V.
