I cannot remember where it was, but actually they are all over Galicia.  Of course, walking I would see many of them.

Yes, we were walking the Via de la Plata to Santiago, met for a few days and she walked on faster than us.  There is a shot somewhere as well taken of a tomato dried up on a stone the day after the SanPedro festival in Zamora, that is also heart shaped.

An English pilgrim woman showed me her camera one day to show me how many hearts she keeps finding all along the Via.  Bang!  I started seeing hearts all over the place! Amazing

The feet fine (achy at the end of each day), the hip still hurts.  THis was taken in a tunnel where I rested and cooled off.  The wind whipping through cooled my sweat.

Yep, I searched and searched and then I asked.  The building is huge and finding this among the many is very difficult.  True also for the frog at the university (on another pic)

It's a library.  Went in there to use the internet and found a beautiful building.Casa de las conchas.

It took forever to decide to be a tourist there. I took my 2 oldest children and made an adult vacation. I loved it. Yeah, the glitz, the fakery, but hey, it´s just for fun and it´s there for that. Like Dizzy World. I would go again. Thanks for the comment

Reminds me of those kid movies, Land Before Time when the long necks were eating in a group. They look like dinosaurs, don´t you think? I am in Merida right now, hence internet.

wow, these pictures and your description of what went along was quite the sight. How awful what happened. And how wonderful all your people wanting to partake in something so important. Thanks for sharing.

http://pix.ie/mermaidlilli/400688 See my notes here. It represents the boat, the heartbreak... all split in 2. You don't need another person to do the Via.... but if so... hurry. I start walking on the 7th of May.

Thank You.... one thing I enjoyed about this trip to Spain was connecting with this older generation and hearing their stories. This uncle even shared how, during the Spanish Civil War my father would sing Tangos to the other soldiers to give them some joy.... something I did not know until he told me. Not it is my goal to talk to a lot of old people and ask them to tell me stories. It is wonderful.
