Could be... Could be...
There goes the rest of the day...
You guys certainly know a thing or two about a thing or two. In fact you inspired me to research into these two Johns a little deeper. It seems the John Hinde guy was an ex-Circusman who was the only man making money back in the days when the only money coming into the country was from tourism. His highly successful postcards became a major driver of revenue for An Post, both in terms of sales and mailings at a time that there was little or no corporate post. And his work is considered to have been a major force in establishing Ireland as a tourist destination, which in turn helped make the Sightseeing Tours a real money spinner for Dublin Bus. Hinde sold out and took up landscape painting just as Hynes career really started to take off. Rumour has it that the two have never been seen together at the same event.
Yes I meant John Hinde.
But if John Hynes is retired, its possilbe that Niall could replace him.. I'll stop digging now.
Will, I had to think for a few minutes about what your comment meant. Like who the hell is John Hynes!!! Was this some weird cryptic message?
Then It came to me that you meant John Hinde - the postcard maker.
John Hynes, on the other hand, is a former Chief Executive of An Post and Dublin Bus.
End lesson:)
John Hynes find your hat. We have a replacement.
