About:

Just got my first real camera. A trip to Croatia last year sparked my interest in upping my game photography wise. We had a sony p&s and never got around to getting a memory card so we only had 123 photos to take at the lowest resolution. I was very picky with the pics we kept as we had such a limit but when I got them up on the PC and saw I could get some decent pics with that camera and no megapixels i'd love to see what I could do with a real camera.

Some may say "Why not just buy a memory card over there", well if I did that we may have ended up with hundreds of mediocre pics and I would have never gotten interested in photography.

I hope in the not so distant future i'll be able to come anywhere near the level of talent I see on the pix.ie homepage everyday.

It was amazing. 32 degrees out but the cave was cool. Not another soul around for at least a 15 minute paddle.

Wish I was back there now.

I had no idea they were in the Herald. I will check them out later when I finish work. Can you tell me which ones were used?

Ciarán,

I have replied to your comment on boards.ie. As I said I did not intend to cause any offence and I am glad you posted the above comment telling the story from the ground.

I do not feel I tried to "sensationalise" the story, just posted some pictures that told a very different story than what may have actually happened. I apologise to your friends if any harm was caused.

I am more than happy to take down the photos if the people in them do not wish for them to be posted publicly.

I removed your comment from the other pictures as I think posting the same comment multiple times is not necessary. Also calling me a "disgrace" before contacting me is a bit out of order, but I understand your anger at the whole inciident and if you feel the images would help your case with the Garda ombudsman then feel free to use them.

Your a disgrace mate. The only trouble makers there were the Gardaí. Bohemian fans have made several complaints to the Garda Ombudsman, Tallaght Gardaí and we have contacted our club president in order to make a full complaint. The 2 lads with the red trainners are brothers. The reason they are complaining is that the older lads little brothers phone was taken off him for know reason by a Gaurd(which is completly against the law). Like any older brother, of course you will stick up for your little brother. There were several arrestes made but know one was charged. The Gardaí indiscriminately came on to the Luas and started arresting anybody they saw. Bohs had just won the cup final and were in a celebratory mood, not one of agression. Had you filmed this incident and not photographed it, the footage could have been used to prove that the Gardaí were heavy handed and and acted above the law. Some were cycling around singing "we all hate bohs scum" and called a mate of mine a "faggott" these cowards are supposed to protect us. Of course you couldnt hear this from the comfort of your "6th floor apartment" Instead they insulted people and used derogatory comments as well as winding up the bohs fans. The young man you see in the grey top lying face down had his arm broken by the Gardaí and was in hospital yesterday having a plate put in his arm. So for you and anyone reading this, lets get the facts straight. Bohemian fans were innocent and only guilty of celebrating their teams cup final win.  Just to add, a bohs fan in his 50's was taken off the Luas by the Gardaí and seperated from his young daughter who with tears running down her face, pleaded with the Gaurds to "leave her dad alone" When the luas took of this young girl had a panick attack and was not able to be comforted by her father who was been restrained by the Gards at that time. It was a horrible end to what was a great day up to the moment. If you have any additional footage or photos I would be pleased to see them, as I'm sure the Garda ombudsmen will be interested in seeing it.

Other than that, stop sensationalising a story that you know very little about.
