For underwater, I use a Canon G11 with the Canon housing (http://www.amazon.com/Canon-WP-DC34-Underwater-Housing-PowerShot/dp/B002LITT5G)  I also use the D2000 stobe from Inon which packs a big "whump" in a little package ;-).  Lots of divers go mad on equipment, I like to keep my kit small!
