Thats a fantastic shot Daniel, very well done man!! 5/5
Thanks - the crazy thing was I thought I saw it already, packed up my gear and was heading home when I saw the real shuttle... managed to snap one off in time.
Problem was, my watch was 5 minutes fast!
Its a class shot, it looks like it was actually taken from space especially with the glare in the bottom right corner (looks like the sun or something) and the way you have it composed with the shuttle in the bottom third of the shot so all the stars are above it giving the photo a real "space" feel to it!
The glare was accidental too ;) it was a sodium streetlight - I had cropped it out in my viewfinder but I forgot that my viewfinder only has 95% coverage - so I got that pseudo-sun effect.
Thanks for the compliments!
Well caught dan :)
Thanks Dan ;)
The thing is pretty fast moving eh Shane? I almost missed it by going home early.
Blink & you'd have missed it. 45 seconds & it was gone. Now that's fast.
Great shot. Mine didn't work out as well. http://pix.ie/shanemurphy/photos
I am glad the ISS goes by a bit slower, I was caught unawares. this is a great shot Dan!
Spacey shot. almost surreal colours.
Thanks - the colours are always crazy at night (I'm in an estate with lots of sodium lights, the amount of light pollution that reflects back up into the sky...
...gives the photo just that bit extra !
haha yeah - especially that sodium streetlight glare that creeped in from the bottom - looks like the shuttle is going to warp speed or something (for the Trekkie fans out there ;) )
Very nice, like it a lot!
Lovely shot.
well done.
