Thank you, chick. I've forgotten how wonderful that Kodak is.
Evening light is hardly great when most of the garden is in shadow. And when I am back from work, taking pix is the last thing on my mind. Hehe...
Completely understand that...but you still have the evening light! ;oP
stunning.. great tones..:D
Thank you, DM! =) I stopped using my Kodak and with my Nikon D60, I hardly have time to go out into the garden to take shots like these anymore. I had so much time while I was unemployed! With just a day off now, I'd rather sleep in and miss the good morning light.
Like this - the vibrant greens are just amazing! Great close-up!
Just found out there are people selling the postcards on eBay for 99p!

Thank you! This was one of the first shots I took with my D60. I was not satisfied that the colours weren't that clear.
Really calm pic, love it!
I was using a point and shoot. I think it was my Kodak LS755, which uses the Schneider - Kreuznach lens.
Thank you for the comments, cgeneramos and nikondave! I wanted the coil to be right smack in the center of that blackness, but it still works. On hindsight, it's amazing the positions I take to get shots. I get dizzy sometimes, in fact. =D
Thank you, varuka and cgeneramos! You have to keep this in mind, I was terrified that the flash would drive it berserk and induce it to launch at me. =)
Well observed, great contrast between the delicated perfect swirl and the solid but blurred background.
What lens did you shot this?
I like this
Cute
you are welcome :D
Thank you, Margas! Wow, it's hard to believe that it's been almost two years since it happened. I remember being anxious, not knowing when it would emerge from its pupa. This is about the only time you can take a photo of it clearly, otherwise it would just be a blur - it's a hyperactive flier. Thank you for leaving a comment too, Margas! You made my day. =)
Great pic and story!
