Just discovered - and what a treat! ... thought your first building with that emotional connection must have been a prison, or cells, or.  but then great to read the real "back story" in the description.  Good luck with the project.

I like the dropped courtyard level, allowing relative privacy from the street and also bringing basement office space to a 'garden level'.

Love the big concrete columns although I would paint them red :)

Ooh, built as the Carmichael school of medicine in 1879. George Bernard Shaw went to school here from 1869 to 1871. The school was closed in 1878. It was used as a Cork factory at some stage during the 1920's. It has housed a Hostel for 15+ years

its free, made by google and AWESOME, plus they have a load of videos to teach you how to use it, again FOR FREE!!!

 

this is about 3 hours worth of modelling.

I like the cutting room floor, getting to see where you were coming from. It's funny how, at street level, you just see the shops. The blue fascade does not seem out of place. From further back, it's a different story.

this is from the agfa billy record, photo'd neg with iphone and inverted in photogene and emailed here, will see if any are worth scanning when i get near a scanner or light box
